Physical education and activity forms an integral part of every day routine at LDCS and is structured to fit the needs of specific age groups. It introduces the children to a variety of games and activities in order to develop their

  • Fitness
  • Physical skills
  • Versatility and
  • A sense of fair play.
Qualified and competent instructors are appointed to take care of each game and supervise the students. The school has already constructed a mini swimming pool wherein students learn swimming skills. The school has sports grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball and Volleyball.  Indoor games like chess and table tennis are also encouraged.

 

Sports Day

Inter House competitions are conducted during sports day. This is a regular feature at LDCSl. Mass PT drills and karate are encouraged in the school as these events not only provide relief from the heavy workload but also help unearth new talent.

 

House System

To facilitate healthy competition and co-operation among students, the entire school is divided into four houses namely Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka and Raman giving the star formation. They also take turns in maintaining the discipline and decorum of the school. Inter-house competitions are conducted in Literary and Cultural activities and in games and sports.
